Short Bio: Aaron Oladipo Aboderin is a Professor of Clinical Microbiology and the Dean of the Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences at Obafemi Awolowo University, and also serves as a Consultant Clinical Microbiologist at the affiliated Teaching Hospitals Complex. A leading expert in antimicrobial resistance and infection prevention, his work focuses on the genomic epidemiology of multidrug-resistant pathogens and the implementation of robust antimicrobial stewardship programs in West Africa. With an extensive academic background including fellowships from the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria and the Royal College of Pathologists, Professor Aboderin has authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications and currently leads departmental research initiatives aimed at curbing healthcare-associated infections and optimizing antibiotic use in clinical settings.
